On approach from the school, the facade of the building will be realigned to create a welcoming entrance funnel into the facility. Immediately on entry, the visitor will be in the midst of a vibrant community cafe and meeting space, the heart of the new community centre.

To the right of the entrance will be an opening in to the modular glass extension that faces out to the school. This space will house an eLibrary and digital resources for the community.

From the cafe there will be a viewing area into the main sports hall and also a serving area from the cafe out into the main hall that can be used during events.

To the left hand side of the serving area under the stairs a small soft play zone for young children will be incorporated. To the rear of the cafe toilet, changing and shower facilities will be provided with separated areas for team changing.

Within the main sports hall there will be two key changes. Firstly a new floor covering will provide a modern surface over the current hard concrete floor. in addition, bleacher seating will be added to the back wall. This will concertina out during community events to provide a small stand at the rear of the hall for events like concerts, theatre and school plays.
